Snowy Egrets are the second most common bird that breeds at the rookery.
Feathers: All white.
Legs: Black.
Feet: Bright yellow.
Bill: Black.
Other: Yellow patch near eyes.
At around 2 feet tall, and with a wingspan of a bit more than 3 feet, they are much smaller than Great Egrets.
While Snowy Egrets do build nests in the upper branches of the greenery on the island, many also seem to spend a lot of time running around on the ground under the canopy.
Each pair are seasonally monogamous, and lay up to 6 pale blue-green eggs.
They eat minnows, fish, shrimp, and other crustaceans.
