Brown Pelican

Brown Pelicans are commonly seen fishing in the marsh adjacent to the rookery, or perched on poles.

Overall: Mostly brown.
Neck: White.
Head: White/yellow.
Legs: Dark gray.
Bill: Gray/brown.

They are typically 3.5-4.5 feet tall, with wingspans up to 6.5 feet or more.

Brown Pelicans eat mostly fish, caught by diving into the water and scooping them up into the pouch that sits below their bills.
