Bald Eagle

Bald Eagles are occasionally seen fishing in the marsh adjacent to the rookery.

Overall: Mostly brown.
Head: White.
Tail: White.
Legs: Yellow.
Bill: Yellow. Pronounced hook.

Bald Eagles are one of three raptors seen from the rookery, along with Ospreys and Red-shoulders Hawks.

Bald Eagles are typically a bit taller than 3 feet, with wingspans up to almost 7 feet.

Bald Eagles eat mostly fish, but are opportunistic and will also eat other birds and small mammals.
